Street Racing Safety Guidelines

Welcome to the
safety area of this site. This is to help people understand why street racing is
a dangerous activity. In 49 of our states in the U.S. there are laws concerning
street racing. You check your local law agency what laws are in effect in your
area. One of them deals with what type of modifications can be done to your car.
These laws are in affect due to having to much horsepower in your engine to
where you can control it on a public road. This is due to the many people who
have lost their lives street racing or victims hit by street racers. Some of the
other laws deal with wheel tread types and lowering measurements. If your car is
to low and you hit something it could cause damage to your car or make you not
pay attention and cause an accident. With the tire tread it brings the idea of
traction control when you brake. If your tires are too slick you may not brake
fast enough and risk causing an accident hurting yourself or others. Some of the
other laws are very picky due to some law makers you just don't like street
racers.
All in all these laws are here to protect you and other
others while on public roads. If you think these are too harsh then just realize
what will happen when you cause an accident. To be safer there should be local
tracks where you can safely race without hurting others. Check your local race
shops or part dealers in you area to see where they might be. If there are none
in your area there are definitely to be some in the nearest city.

Just remember drive safe and use your head!
